ncient civilizations have crafted our world and integrated what we call today a progressive society. Despite their vital importance, not much is known, or at least was not known until experts started to dig for answers. Ancient Civilizations is coming back with the fourth season which is more anticipated than the others.
The show raises questions about our historical timeline, and the nature of highly advanced civilizations in the prediluvian period, and paints a picture of the global world order, perhaps more relevant now than ever before in light of discussions around the ‘The Great Reset.’
The popular series is back with 10 all-new episodes that explore pre-flood civilizations that were more advanced and far more ancient than mainstream archeology suggests. Gaia has brought together the world’s top Ancient Civilizations experts to dive deep into ancient sites around the world, from Japan and Turkey to Machu Picchu and others, that share sophisticated construction techniques and surprisingly similar creation stories that mirror each other across continents.
This series has been praised by Gaia which airs the show. Kiersten Medvedich, Gaia EVP of Production, gave a statement about why people love the show:
“This series is so relevant to our world right now. Not only are we rewriting history, but we are questioning our earliest beginnings: how these people came to be so advanced when they existed, and how civilization was connected on a global scale. They say history repeats itself and in a world in turmoil, facing global challenges, we may just be able to learn from our ancient civilizations and earliest beginnings,”

The main focus of this season is the Prediluvian Society. They erected monuments all over the planet but were wiped out when a comet struck the planet in multiple locations, causing a massive global flood and an era known as the Younger Dryas, which was an ice age around the time of 12,000 years ago. Humanity survived and built upon the ruins of this ancient civilization, which is why most of these ancient sites are attributed to more modern civilizations.
This society was made up of different small civilizations which all played an important role in bringing innovation towards the evolution of human society. You can watch the trailer for Season 4 and if does catch your interest watch it at Gaia.
